ABOUT OPTICS
Built to slow the headline reaction loop.
Optics is an independent headline-framing detector. It scans 380+ feeds from 250+ outlets every 5 minutes, groups coverage by event, and shows how the wording changes across the source map.
Compares headlines, source spread, loaded words, and one-sided pickup before you share or react.
It does not replace reading the article, decide truth, or independently rate entire outlets.
Bad source matches, source-label disputes, and misleading wording gaps can be reported for review.
Funding and independence
Optics is not owned by a media company, political organization, or platform. The product is funded through consumer subscriptions and future educator/newsroom tools.
Who operates Optics?
Optics is operated by FTP Travel LLC, an independent software company. It is not owned by a media company, PAC, campaign, political organization, or social platform.
What Optics will not do
- It will not decide which article is true for you.
- It will not hide source links behind summaries.
- It will not treat a one-source item as a confirmed blindspot.
- It will not present low-confidence matches as settled evidence.
