MEMBERSHIP
See the framing shifts before they become arguments.
Optics stays free to browse — the whole archive, the search, the blindspot watch, and a daily brief. Membership is for the deeper edition of that brief and the alerts that mean you don't have to check the site to know something split. Everything below is live today; nothing on this page is a promise.
Daily Different Spin — live now, free. The 5 biggest wording gaps every morning. No takes, no outrage bait — just the framing splits worth checking before the comments start.

What you get today
- The member edition of the daily brief — 8 comparisons instead of 5, each with the loaded words the two sides reached for, printed side by side. Where a headline carries no loaded language we show none, rather than dressing up neutral wording as spin
- Keyword alerts — name a subject and get an email the moment 5+ outlets across the spectrum start describing it differently
- Your reading is never sold — no ad network, no third-party trackers, no data brokers. That is what your membership buys instead
- You directly fund always-on monitoring across 600+ feeds
Everything listed above is live right now — no waiting list, no “coming soon”. The free brief stays free; membership funds the engine underneath it.
Sign-in is a one-tap email link; payment is handled by Stripe. Cancel any time from your account page — we don't do refunds for partial months, just stop the renewal. If you're not sure, start with monthly.

Built for the people who already forward each other these comparisons. One person pays; everyone reads.
Honest beta disclosures
What we're honest about
Optics is in open beta. Some matches are still developing — that's why every story page shows a confidence label and hides scores on weak matches. We're not a fact-checker: Wording Gap measures headline framing, not factual accuracy. We always link to the original sources so you can read each side yourself.
Why join today?
The free edition tells you which five stories split hardest. The member edition gives you eight, and for each one the actual words the two sides chose — which is the thing you can quote at someone. Add keyword alerts and you stop having to check the site to find out something blew up.
Do I have to pay to read?
No. The full comparison archive stays free, and so does the daily brief. Membership funds the always-on monitoring and adds the deeper edition and the alerting layer for people who want them.
What's the household plan?
One membership covering four people — you and three others, each with their own sign-in, their own keyword alerts, and their own copy of the member brief. You invite them by email from your account page and can swap anyone out at any time. If you already forward these comparisons to a partner, a parent, or a group chat, it costs less than two individual memberships and covers twice as many people.
Can I cancel?
Yes, any time. The billing portal on your account page stops the renewal with one click; we don't do refunds for partial months.
What about iOS?
Pricing matches the iOS app, Optics — Media Bias News. Web and iOS memberships are separate purchases today; entitlement sync is on the roadmap, and the daily brief works the same on both.
How do I know you're actually building these features?
The methodology and source registry are public on this site. Product changes are dated on the changelog.
