The company, led by billionaire founder and CEO Elon Musk, announced on Tuesday that it beat analyst expectations by $1 billion in its first earnings report since going public.
SpaceX plans to notch some big milestones on the next test flight of its Starship megarocket, which is tentatively scheduled for late August.
Musk kept inflating the already-big promises being made by SpaceX CFO Bret Johnsen and Gwynne Shotwell on the company's first call.
Still, shares wobbled after an initial jump on Tuesday.
Revenue was up more than 90 percent from the same period a year ago, beating analyst expectations.
On their first earnings call since SpaceX's June public offering, executives said the company is pouring funds into rocket development, Starlink satellites and AI.
