GLOSSARY
Source Spread
Short answer: The mix of Left, Center, and Right outlets currently covering a story.
Source spread is the count of how many outlets from each major bias bucket are covering a given story right now. Optics News uses the macro buckets Left (Far Left + Lean Left), Center, and Right (Lean Right + Far Right) per MBFC's published labels. A story with 3 Left, 4 Center, 5 Right has full cross-spectrum coverage; one with 6 Right and 0 Left is a candidate for the Blindspot page.
